Strathmerton was impressive in a high intensity, four-quarter effort.

The never-say-die attitude was up and about and the belief in one another was really starting to show.

Down by four going into the third quarter, the team lifted in the second half.

Strathmerton’s defence turned the ball over tirelessly, the midcourt kept its composure and delivered in to the goalers, who converted the turnovers to give Strathmerton a seven-goal win.

What a great team win for Strathmerton! Everyone was so supportive of one another and there was lots of positive talk out on court.

There were a few moments throughout the game where play dropped off a bit, but the girls never dropped their heads and showed strength to be able to turn it around and come out on top.

This was probably one of the most consistent games this season, which shows just how much the players are developing as a team.

Rennie tried to put on a zone defence coming out of attack, but Strathmerton’s defenders and midcourters showed patience and teamwork to break through and move the ball down to the goalers, who worked well together all day.

Awards: Caitlin Hill (Ambience); Leonie Wren (Railway Hotel); Izzy Caughey (Supreme Meats).

This game was always going to be a tough game, with Strathmerton having a few of its players away.

Everyone gave 100 per cent but the Bulldogs didn’t come away with the win.

Thanks to the C-reserve girls for filling in yet again and Izzy Caughey for helping out.

Awards: Izzy caughey (Strathy Café); Naomi Payne (Keep Active); Lisa Bramich (Supreme Meats).

Rennie made the Strathmerton girls work hard for a win.

Strathmerton got out to a great start and led comfortably for the first three quarters. However, the fourth quarter was a nail-biter with some silly mistakes.

The defence was strong and lots of space was created down the midcourt. Strathmerton is really coming together as a team.

Awards: BOC Olivia Van Every (Ambience Bakery); Aimee Fletcher (Keep Active Osteo); Grace Muckenthaler (Strathy Café).

This was always going to be a great match, but unfortunately things didn’t go Strathmerton’s way.

The girls played such a high standard of netball and kept with the Rennie girls right to the last quarter. However, Rennie’s goal attack also plays A-grade and her class showed.

Strathmerton’s girls fought and never dropped their heads, even when the goal defence was sidelined with an ankle injury.

It was a great team effort by all, with many positives to take away.

Awards: Molly Coburn ($20); Maddison Wilson ($10); Jordyn Lee — Madgwick (Strathy Cafe).

Under-15

Going into the game with a positive attitude, the girls started off with great defence and fantastic pressure.

The half-time talk was great as the girls gave each other a lot of encouragement and support. They played the top side and never hung their heads.

Awards: Trinity Walley and Kiera Henderson (Strathy Café).

Under-13

Unfortunately it wasn’t a great day for Strathmerton as Rennie was just far too strong.

Strathmerton needs to get back to remembering the basics and start working as a team, backing each other and having confidence.

The coaches are proud of the girls for not giving up and dropping heads.

It was great to see much support from family, friends and C-reserve girls.

Awards: Sharp shooter Indi Ashcroft (Canteen); pressure queen Brittney Walley (Strathy Café).

Minis

It was a great game, as players are starting to create space. They just need to work on their passing.

Awards: Eva Laidlaw (Strathy Café); Dakota Kelly (Subway); Kayla Orsida (Canteen).
