Yarroweyah’s A-grade netballers suffered a heartbreaking defeat against a new opponent in Katamatite at the weekend, going down 25-20 in a tense affair.
Gallant all day, the contest ebbed and flowed in wintry conditions, with goals hard to come by.
For the Hoppers, Nicole Statari was outstanding, winning the club award for the game.
In a scrappy contest, Yarroweyah was left to rue a missed opportunity as it failed to pounce on a number on Katamatite turnovers, with players getting no reward for their fantastic endeavour.
This competitive effort followed a promising first up win against Jerilderie in round one, and the Hoppers will be looking to bounce back this weekend when they take on Rennie.
Ball tickets are now available and more details can be found on the club’s Facebook page or by emailing the club.
Thursday night dinners have been hugely successful and are available for all members to enjoy.
